Due to the popularity of SATA, Sony plans to release its AIT-3EX drive in a SATA interface in late April 2007². Sony currently offers AIT-1 Turbo and AIT-2 Turbo in a SATA interface, which has translated into a cost saving for many end users as it eliminates the need for SCSI adapters in server-attached configurations.
