SUPER VHS HAS LEFT THE INDUSTRY

Super VHS, a very popular video format widely used since the late 1980’s, has finally been phased out of existence. The demand for SVHS has been replaced by newer and better digital and hi-def formats such as DV and HDV. SVHS is no longer available through any manufacturer, and we have sold out of the last of our stock of all brands of SVHS. If you still wish to utilize your SVHS deck or cameras, you have the option of using Hi-Grade VHS tapes. Most SVHS machines will automatically detect when a VHS tape has been inserted and will record or play in VHS mode.
You will not get as good picture quality as you would with an SVHS tape of course, but can still use the equipment. To see our selection of high-quality VHS tapes, click here.
